Salmo 91

¹Aquele que mora no esconderijo do Altíssimo, à sombra do Todo-Poderoso habitará.

²Direi ao SENHOR: Tu és meu refúgio e minha fortaleza; Deus meu, em quem confio.

³Porque ele te livrará do laço do caçador e da peste maligna.

⁴Com suas penas ele te cobrirá, e debaixo de suas asas estarás protegido; a verdade dele é escudo grande e protetor.

⁵Não terás medo do terror da noite, nem da flecha que voa de dia;

⁶Nem da peste que anda às escuras, nem da mortandade que assola ao meio-dia.

⁷Cairão mil ao teu lado, e dez mil à tua direita, mas a ti nada alcançará.

⁸Somente verás com teus olhos, e observarás o pagamento dos perversos;

⁹Porque tu fizeste como morada ao SENHOR: o meu refúgio, o Altíssimo.

¹⁰Mal nenhum te sucederá, nem praga alguma chegará à tua tenda;

¹¹Porque ele ordenou aos anjos quanto a ti, para que guardem todos os teus caminhos.

¹²Pelas mãos te levarão, para que não tropeces teu pé em alguma pedra.

¹³Tu pisarás sobre o leão e a cobra; passarás esmagando ao filho do leão e à serpente.

¹⁴Por ele ter me amado tanto, eu também o livrarei; em alto retiro eu o porei, porque ele conhece o meu nome.

¹⁵Ele me chamará, e eu o responderei; estarei com ele na angústia; dela eu o livrarei, e o honrarei.

¹⁶Eu o satisfarei com uma longa vida, e lhe mostrarei a minha salvação.

¹He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

²I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

³Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

⁴He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

⁵Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

⁶Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

⁷A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

⁸Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

⁹Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

¹⁰There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

¹¹For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

¹²They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

¹³Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

¹⁴Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

¹⁵He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

¹⁶With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

¹Laus cantici David. Qui habitat in adjutorio Altissimi, in protectione Dei cæli commorabitur.

²Dicet Domino: Susceptor meus es tu, et refugium meum; Deus meus, sperabo in eum.

³Quoniam ipse liberavit me de laqueo venantium, et a verbo aspero.

⁴Scapulis suis obumbrabit tibi, et sub pennis ejus sperabis.

⁵Scuto circumdabit te veritas ejus: non timebis a timore nocturno;

⁶a sagitta volante in die, a negotio perambulante in tenebris, ab incursu, et dæmonio meridiano.

⁷Cadent a latere tuo mille, et decem millia a dextris tuis; ad te autem non appropinquabit.

⁸Verumtamen oculis tuis considerabis, et retributionem peccatorum videbis.

⁹Quoniam tu es, Domine, spes mea; Altissimum posuisti refugium tuum.

¹⁰Non accedet ad te malum, et flagellum non appropinquabit tabernaculo tuo.

¹¹Quoniam angelis suis mandavit de te, ut custodiant te in omnibus viis tuis.

¹²In manibus portabunt te, ne forte offendas ad lapidem pedem tuum.

¹³Super aspidem et basiliscum ambulabis, et conculcabis leonem et draconem.

¹⁴Quoniam in me speravit, liberabo eum; protegam eum, quoniam cognovit nomen meum.

¹⁵Clamabit ad me, et ego exaudiam eum; cum ipso sum in tribulatione: eripiam eum, et glorificabo eum.

¹⁶Longitudine dierum replebo eum, et ostendam illi salutare meum.

¹Αἶνος ᾠδῆς τῷ Δαυείδ. Ὁ κατοικῶν ἐν βοηθείᾳ τοῦ ὑψίστου ἐν σκέπῃ τοῦ θεοῦ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ αὐλισθήσεται.

²ἐρεῖ τῷ θεῷ Ἀντιλήμπτωρ μου εἶ· καὶ καταφυγή μου ὁ θεός μου, ἐλπιῶ ἐπ᾽ αὐτόν.

³ὅτι αὐτὸς ῥύσεται ἐκ παγίδος θηρευτῶν, καὶ ἀπὸ λόγου ταραχώδους·

⁴ἐν τοῖς μεταφρένοις αὐτοῦ ἐπισκιάσει σοι, καὶ ὑπὸ τὰς πτέρυγας αὐτοῦ ἐλπιεῖς· ὅπλῳ κυκλώσει σε ἡ ἀλήθεια αὐτοῦ.

⁵οὐ φοβηθήσῃ ἀπὸ φόβου νυκτερινοῦ, ἀπὸ βέλους πετομένου ἡμέρας,

⁶ἀπὸ πράγματος διαπορευομένου ἐν σκότει, ἀπὸ συμπτώματος καὶ δαιμονίου μεσημβρινοῦ.

⁷πεσεῖται ἐκ τοῦ κλίτους σου χιλιάς, καὶ μυριὰς ἐκ δεξιῶν σου, πρὸς σὲ δὲ οὐκ ἐγγιεῖ·

⁸πλὴν τοῖς ὀφθαλμοῖς σου κατανοήσεις, καὶ ἀνταπόδοσιν ἁμαρτωλῶν ὄψῃ.

⁹ὅτι σύ, Κύριε, ἡ ἐλπίς μου· τὸν ὕψιστον ἔθου καταφυγήν σου.

¹⁰οὐ προσελεύσεται πρὸς σὲ κακά, καὶ μάστιξ οὐκ ἐγγιεῖ τῷ σκηνώματί σου·

¹¹ὅτι τοῖς ἀγγέλοις αὐτοῦ ἐντελεῖται περὶ σοῦ τοῦ διαφυλάξαι σε ἐν ταῖς ὁδοῖς σου·

¹²ἐπὶ χειρῶν ἀροῦσίν σε, μή ποτε προσκόψῃς πρὸς λίθον τὸν πόδα σου.

¹³ἐπ᾽ ἀσπίδα καὶ βασιλίσκον ἐπιβήσῃ, καὶ καταπατήσεις λέοντα καὶ δράκοντα.

¹⁴ὅτι ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ ἤλπισεν, καὶ ῥύσομαι αὐτόν· σκεπάσω αὐτόν, ὅτι ἔγνω τὸ ὄνομά μου.

¹⁵ἐπικαλέσεταί με, καὶ εἰσακούσομαι αὐτοῦ, μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ εἰμι ἐν θλίψει, καὶ ἐξελοῦμαι καὶ δοξάσω αὐτόν.

¹⁶μακρότητι ἡμερῶν ἐμπλήσω αὐτόν, καὶ δείξω αὐτῷ τὸ σωτήριόν μου.
