Salmo 85

¹Salmo para o regente, dos filhos de Coré: Foste favorável, ó SENHOR, à tua terra; restauraste Jacó de seu infortúnio.

²Perdoaste a perversidade de teu povo; encobriste todos os seus pecados. (Selá)

³Removeste toda a tua indignação; do ardor de tua ira te desviaste.

⁴Restaura-nos, ó Deus de nossa salvação; e cessa tua ira de sobre nós.

⁵Acaso estarás irado contra nós para sempre? Estenderás a tua ira de geração em geração?

⁶Não voltará a dar-nos vida, para que o teu povo se alegre em ti?

⁷Mostra-nos tua bondade, SENHOR, e dá para nós tua salvação.

⁸Escutarei o que o Deus, o SENHOR, falar, pois ele falará de paz ao seu povo, e aos seus santos, contanto que não voltem à loucura.

⁹Certamente sua salvação está perto daqueles que o temem, para que a glória habite em nossa terra.

¹⁰A bondade e a verdade se encontrarão; a justiça e a paz se beijarão.

¹¹A verdade brotará da terra, e a justiça olhará desde os céus.

¹²E o SENHOR também dará o bem; e a nossa terra dará o seu fruto.

¹³A justiça irá adiante dele, e ele nos porá no caminho de seus passos.

²Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin. Selah.

³Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger.

⁴Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine anger toward us to cease.

⁵Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations?

⁶Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?

⁷Shew us thy mercy, O Lord, and grant us thy salvation.

⁸I will hear what God the Lord will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.

⁹Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land.

¹⁰Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

¹¹Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.

¹²Yea, the Lord shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase.

¹³Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps.

²Benedixisti, Domine, terram tuam; avertisti captivitatem Jacob.

³Remisisti iniquitatem plebis tuæ; operuisti omnia peccata eorum.

⁴Mitigasti omnem iram tuam; avertisti ab ira indignationis tuæ.

⁵Converte nos, Deus salutaris noster, et averte iram tuam a nobis.

⁶Numquid in æternum irasceris nobis? aut extendes iram tuam a generatione in generationem?

⁷Deus, tu conversus vivificabis nos, et plebs tua lætabitur in te.

⁸Ostende nobis, Domine, misericordiam tuam, et salutare tuum da nobis.

⁹Audiam quid loquatur in me Dominus Deus, quoniam loquetur pacem in plebem suam, et super sanctos suos, et in eos qui convertuntur ad cor.

¹⁰Verumtamen prope timentes eum salutare ipsius, ut inhabitet gloria in terra nostra.

¹¹Misericordia et veritas obviaverunt sibi; justitia et pax osculatæ sunt.

¹²Veritas de terra orta est, et justitia de cælo prospexit.

¹³Etenim Dominus dabit benignitatem, et terra nostra dabit fructum suum.

¹⁴Justitia ante eum ambulabit, et ponet in via gressus suos.

¹Εἰς τὸ τέλος· τοῖς υἱοῖς Κόρε ψαλμός.

²Εὐδόκησας, Κύριε, τὴν γῆν σου, ἀπέστρεψας τὴν αἰχμαλωσίαν Ἰακώβ·

³ἀφῆκας τὰς ἀνομίας τῷ λαῷ σου, ἐκάλυψας τὰς ἁμαρτίας αὐτῶν. διάψαλμα.

⁴κατέπαυσας τὴν ὀργήν σου, ἀπέστρεψας ἀπὸ ὀργῆς θυμοῦ σου.

⁵ἐπίστρεψον ἡμᾶς, ὁ θεὸς τῶν σωτηρίων ἡμῶν, καὶ ἀπόστρεψον τὸν θυμόν σου ἀφ᾽ ἡμῶν.

⁶μὴ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα ὀργισθήσῃ ἡμῖν; ἢ διατενεῖς τὴν ὀργήν σου ἀπὸ γενεᾶς εἰς γενεάν;

⁷ὁ θεός, σὺ ἐπιστρέψας ζωώσεις ἡμᾶς, καὶ ὁ λαός σου εὐφρανθήσεται ἐπὶ σοί.

⁸δεῖξον ἡμῖν, Κύριε, τὸ ἔλεός σου, καὶ τὸ σωτήριόν σου, Κύριε, δῴης ἡμῖν.

⁹ἀκούσομαι τί λαλήσει ἐν ἐμοὶ Κύριος ὁ θεός, ὅτι λαλήσει εἰρήνην ἐπὶ τὸν λαὸν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς ὁσίους αὐτοῦ καὶ τοὺς ἐπιστρέφοντας πρὸς αὐτὸν καρδίαν.

¹⁰πλὴν ἐγγὺς τῶν φοβουμένων αὐτὸν τὸ σωτήριον αὐτοῦ, τοῦ κατασκηνῶσαι δόξαν ἐν τῇ γῇ ἡμῶν.

¹¹ἔλεος καὶ ἀλήθεια συνήντησαν, δικαιοσύνη καὶ εἰρήνη κατεφίλησαν·

¹²ἀλήθεια ἐκ τῆς γῆς ἀνέτειλεν, καὶ δικαιοσύνη ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ διέκυψεν.

¹³καὶ γὰρ ὁ κύριος δώσει χρηστότητα, καὶ ἡ γῆ ἡμῶν δώσει τὸν καρπὸν αὐτῆς.

¹⁴δικαιοσύνη ἐναντίον αὐτοῦ προπορεύσεται, καὶ θήσει εἰς ὁδὸν τὰ διαβήματα αὐτοῦ.
