Salmo 53

¹Instrução de Davi, para o regente, sobre “Maalate”: O tolo diz em seu coração: Não há Deus.Eles se corrompem, e cometem abominável perversidade, ninguém há que faça o bem.

²Deus olhou desde os céus para os filhos dos homens, para ver se havia alguém prudente, que buscasse a Deus.

³Todos se desviaram, juntamente se fizeram detestáveis; ninguém há que faça o bem, nem um sequer.

⁴Será que não tem conhecimento os praticantes de maldade, que devoram a meu povo, como se comessem pão? Eles não clamam a Deus.

⁵Ali eles terão grande medo, onde não havia medo; porque Deus espalhou os ossos daquele que te cercava; tu os humilhaste, porque Deus os rejeitou.

⁶Ah, que de Sião venha a salvação de Israel! Quando Deus restaurar seu povo de seu infortúnio, Jacó jubilará, Israel se alegrará.

¹To the chief Musician upon Mahalath, Maschil, A Psalm of David. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.

²God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.

³Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

⁴Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God.

⁵There were they in great fear, where no fear was: for God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee: thou hast put them to shame, because God hath despised them.

⁶Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When God bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

²Corrupti sunt, et abominabiles facti sunt in iniquitatibus; non est qui faciat bonum.

³Deus de cælo prospexit super filios hominum, ut videat si est intelligens, aut requirens Deum.

⁴Omnes declinaverunt; simul inutiles facti sunt: non est qui faciat bonum, non est usque ad unum.

⁵Nonne scient omnes qui operantur iniquitatem, qui devorant plebem meam ut cibum panis?

⁶Deum non invocaverunt; illic trepidaverunt timore, ubi non erat timor. Quoniam Deus dissipavit ossa eorum qui hominibus placent: confusi sunt, quoniam Deus sprevit eos.

⁷Quis dabit ex Sion salutare Israël? cum converterit Deus captivitatem plebis suæ, exsultabit Jacob, et lætabitur Israël.

¹Εἰς τὸ τέλος, ὑπὲρ μαελέθ· συνέσεως τῷ Δαυείδ.

²Εἶπεν ἄφρων ἐν καρδίᾳ αὐτοῦ Οὐκ ἔστιν θεός. διέφθειραν καὶ ἐβδελύχθησαν ἐν ἀνομίαις, οὐκ ἔστιν ὁ ποιῶν ἀγαθόν.

³ὁ θεὸς ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ διέκυψεν ἐπὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς τῶν ἀνθρώπων, τοῦ ἰδεῖν εἰ ἔστιν συνίων ἢ ἐκζητῶν τὸν θεόν.

⁴πάντες ἐξέκλιναν, ἅμα ἠχρεώθησαν, οὐκ ἔστιν ποιῶν ἀγαθόν, οὐκ ἔστιν ἕως ἑνός.

⁵οὐχὶ γνώσονται πάντες οἱ ἐργαζόμενοι τὴν ἀνομίαν, οἱ ἔσθοντες τὸν λαόν μου βρώσει ἄρτου; τὸν θεὸν οὐκ ἐπεκαλέσαντο.

⁶ἐκεῖ φοβηθήσονται φόβον οὗ οὐκ ἦν φόβος, ὅτι ὁ θεὸς διεσκόρπισεν ὀστᾶ ἀνθρωπαρέσκων· κατῃσχύνθησαν, ὅτι ὁ θεὸς ἐξουδένωσεν αὐτούς.

⁷τίς δώσει ἐκ Σιὼν τὸ σωτήριον τοῦ Ἰσραήλ; ἐν τῷ ἀποστρέψαι Κύριον τὴν αἰχμαλωσίαν τοῦ λαοῦ αὐτοῦ ἀγαλλιάσεται Ἰακὼβ καὶ εὐφρανθήσεται Ἰσραήλ.
