Salmo 52

¹Instrução de Davi, para o regente, quando Doegue, o edomita, veio, e contou a Saul, dizendo: Davi veio à casa de Aimeleque: Por que tu, homem poderoso, te orgulhas no mal? A bondade de Deus continua o dia todo.

²Tua língua planeja maldades; é como navalha afiada, que gera falsidades.

³Tu amas mais o mal que o bem, e a mentira mais do que falar justiça. (Selá)

⁴Tu amas todas as palavras de destruição, ó língua enganadora.

⁵Porém Deus te derrubará para sempre; ele te tomará, e te arrancará para fora da tenda; e te eliminará de toda a terra dos viventes. (Selá)

⁶E os justos o verão, e temerão; e rirão dele, dizendo:

⁷Eis aqui o homem que não pôs sua força em Deus, mas preferiu confiar a abundância de suas riquezas, e fortaleceu em sua maldade.

⁸Mas eu serei como a oliveira verde na casa de Deus; confio na bondade de Deus para todo o sempre.

⁹Eu te louvarei para sempre, por causa do que fizeste; e terei esperança em teu nome, porque tu és bom perante teus santos.

¹To the chief Musician, Maschil, A Psalm of David, when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, and said unto him, David is come to the house of Ahimelech. Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God endureth continually.

²Thy tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.

³Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.

⁴Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.

⁵God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah.

⁶The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him:

⁷Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.

⁸But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.

⁹I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.

³Quid gloriaris in malitia, qui potens es in iniquitate?

⁴Tota die injustitiam cogitavit lingua tua; sicut novacula acuta fecisti dolum.

⁵Dilexisti malitiam super benignitatem; iniquitatem magis quam loqui æquitatem.

⁶Dilexisti omnia verba præcipitationis; lingua dolosa.

⁷Propterea Deus destruet te in finem; evellet te, et emigrabit te de tabernaculo tuo, et radicem tuam de terra viventium.

⁸Videbunt justi, et timebunt; et super eum ridebunt, et dicent:

⁹Ecce homo qui non posuit Deum adjutorem suum; sed speravit in multitudine divitiarum suarum, et prævaluit in vanitate sua.

¹⁰Ego autem, sicut oliva fructifera in domo Dei; speravi in misericordia Dei, in æternum et in sæculum sæculi.

¹¹Confitebor tibi in sæculum, quia fecisti; et exspectabo nomen tuum, quoniam bonum est in conspectu sanctorum tuorum.

¹Εἰς τὸ τέλος· συνέσεως τῷ Δαυείδ,

²ἐν τῷ ἐλθεῖν Δωὴκ τὸν Ἰδουμαῖον καὶ ἀναγγεῖλαι τῷ Σαοὺλ καὶ εἰπεῖν αὐτῷ Ἦλθεν Δαυεὶδ εἰς τὸν οἶκον Ἀβιμέλεχ·

³Τί ἐνκαυχᾷ ἐν κακίᾳ, ὁ δυνατός, ἀνομίαν ὅλην τὴν ἡμέραν;

⁴ἀδικίαν ἐλογίσατο ἡ γλῶσσά σου· ὡσεὶ ξυρὸν ἐξηκονημένον ἐποίησας δόλον.

⁵ἠγάπησας κακίαν ὑπὲρ ἀγαθωσύνην, ἀδικίαν ὑπὲρ τὸ λαλῆσαι δικαιοσύνην. διάψαλμα.

⁶ἠγάπησας πάντα τὰ ῥήματα καταποντισμοῦ, γλῶσσαν δολίαν.

⁷διὰ τοῦτο ὁ θεὸς καθελεῖ σε εἰς τέλος· ἐκτίλαι σε καὶ μεταναστεύσαι σε ἀπὸ σκηνώματος, καὶ τὸ ῥίζωμά σου ἐκ γῆς ζώντων. διάψαλμα.

⁸καὶ ὄψονται δίκαιοι καὶ φοβηθήσονται, καὶ ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν γελάσονται καὶ ἐροῦσιν

⁹Ἰδοὺ ἄνθρωπος ὃς οὐκ ἔθετο τὸν θεὸν βοηθὸν αὐτοῦ, ἀλλὰ ἐπήλπισεν ἐπὶ τὸ πλῆθος τοῦ πλούτου αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐδυναμώθη ἐπὶ τῇ ματαιότητι αὐτοῦ.

¹⁰ἐγὼ δὲ ὡσεὶ ἐλαία κατάκαρπος ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ τοῦ θεοῦ· ἤλπισα ἐπὶ τὸ ἔλεος τοῦ θεοῦ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα καὶ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τοῦ αἰῶνος·

¹¹ἐξομολογήσομαί σοι εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα, ὅτι ἐποίησας· καὶ ὑπομενῶ τὸ ὄνομά σου, ὅτι χρηστὸν ἐναντίον τῶν ὁσίων σου.
