Salmo 33

¹Cantai ao SENHOR, vós que sois justos; aos corretos convém louvar.

²Louvai ao SENHOR com harpa; cantai a ele com alaúde e instrumento de dez cordas.

³Cantai-lhe uma canção nova; tocai instrumento bem com alegria.

⁴Porque a palavra do SENHOR é correta; e todas suas obras são fiéis.

⁵Ele ama a justiça e o juízo; a terra está cheia da bondade do SENHOR.

⁶Pala palavra do SENHOR foram feitos os céus; e todo o seu exército foi feito pelo sopro de sua boca.

⁷Ele junta as águas do mar como se estivessem empilhadas; aos abismos ele põe como depósitos de tesouros.

⁸Toda a terra, tenha temor ao SENHOR; todos os moradores do mundo prestem reverência a ele.

⁹Porque ele falou, e logo se fez; ele mandou, e logo apareceu.

¹⁰O SENHOR desfez a intenção das nações; ele destruiu os planos dos povos.

¹¹O conselho do SENHOR permanece para sempre; as intenções de seu coração continuam de geração após geração.

¹²Bem-aventurada é a nação em que seu Deus é o SENHOR; o povo que ele escolheu para si por herança.

¹³O SENHOR olha desde os céus; ele vê a todos os filhos dos homens.

¹⁴Desde sua firme morada ele observa a todos os moradores da terra.

¹⁵Ele forma o coração de todos eles; ele avalia todas as obras deles.

¹⁶O rei não se salva pela grandeza de seu exército, nem o valente escapa do perigo pela sua muita força.

¹⁷O cavalo é falho como segurança, com sua grande força não livra do perigo.

¹⁸Eis que os olhos do SENHOR estão sobre aqueles que o temem, sobre os que esperam pela sua bondade.

¹⁹Para livrar a alma deles da morte, e para os manter vivos durante a fome.

²⁰Nossa alma espera no SENHOR; ele é nossa socorro e nosso escudo.

²¹Porque nele nosso coração se alegra, porque confiamos no nome de sua santidade.

²²Que tua bondade, SENOR, esteja sobre nós, assim como nós esperamos em ti.

¹Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.

²Praise the Lord with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.

³Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.

⁴For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth.

⁵He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.

⁶By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

⁷He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses.

⁸Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.

⁹For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.

¹⁰The Lord bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.

¹¹The counsel of the Lord standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

¹²Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

¹³The Lord looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.

¹⁴From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.

¹⁵He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works.

¹⁶There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.

¹⁷An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.

¹⁸Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;

¹⁹To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.

²⁰Our soul waiteth for the Lord: he is our help and our shield.

²¹For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.

²²Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.

¹Psalmus David. Exsultate, justi, in Domino; rectos decet collaudatio.

²Confitemini Domino in cithara; in psalterio decem chordarum psallite illi.

³Cantate ei canticum novum; bene psallite ei in vociferatione.

⁴Quia rectum est verbum Domini, et omnia opera ejus in fide.

⁵Diligit misericordiam et judicium; misericordia Domini plena est terra.

⁶Verbo Domini cæli firmati sunt, et spiritu oris ejus omnis virtus eorum.

⁷Congregans sicut in utre aquas maris; ponens in thesauris abyssos.

⁸Timeat Dominum omnis terra; ab eo autem commoveantur omnes inhabitantes orbem.

⁹Quoniam ipse dixit, et facta sunt; ipse mandavit et creata sunt.

¹⁰Dominus dissipat consilia gentium; reprobat autem cogitationes populorum, et reprobat consilia principum.

¹¹Consilium autem Domini in æternum manet; cogitationes cordis ejus in generatione et generationem.

¹²Beata gens cujus est Dominus Deus ejus; populus quem elegit in hæreditatem sibi.

¹³De cælo respexit Dominus; vidit omnes filios hominum.

¹⁴De præparato habitaculo suo respexit super omnes qui habitant terram:

¹⁵qui finxit sigillatim corda eorum; qui intelligit omnia opera eorum.

¹⁶Non salvatur rex per multam virtutem, et gigas non salvabitur in multitudine virtutis suæ.

¹⁷Fallax equus ad salutem; in abundantia autem virtutis suæ non salvabitur.

¹⁸Ecce oculi Domini super metuentes eum, et in eis qui sperant super misericordia ejus:

¹⁹ut eruat a morte animas eorum, et alat eos in fame.

²⁰Anima nostra sustinet Dominum, quoniam adjutor et protector noster est.

²¹Quia in eo lætabitur cor nostrum, et in nomine sancto ejus speravimus.

²²Fiat misericordia tua, Domine, super nos, quemadmodum speravimus in te.

¹Τῷ Δαυείδ. Ἀγαλλιᾶσθε, δίκαιοι, ἐν τῷ κυρίῳ· τοῖς εὐθέσι πρέπει αἴνεσις.

²ἐξομολογεῖσθε τῷ κυρίῳ ἐν κιθάρᾳ, ἐν ψαλτηρίῳ δεκαχόρδῳ ψάλατε αὐτῷ·

³ᾄσατε αὐτῷ ᾆσμα καινόν, καλῶς ψάλατε ἐν ἀλαλαγμῷ.

⁴ὅτι εὐθὴς ὁ λόγος τοῦ κυρίου, καὶ πάντα τὰ ἔργα αὐτοῦ ἐν πίστει·

⁵ἀγαπᾷ ἐλεημοσύνην καὶ κρίσιν, τοῦ ἐλέους Κυρίου πλήρης ἡ γῆ.

⁶τῷ λόγῳ τοῦ κυρίου οἱ οὐρανοὶ ἐστερεώθησαν, καὶ τῷ πνεύματι τοῦ στόματος αὐτοῦ πᾶσα ἡ δύναμις αὐτῶν·

⁷συνάγων ὡς ἀσκὸν ὕδατα θαλάσσης, τιθεὶς ἐν θησαυροῖς ἀβύσσους.

⁸φοβηθήτω τὸν κύριον πᾶσα ἡ γῆ, ἀπ᾽ αὐτοῦ δὲ σαλευθήτωσαν πάντες οἱ κατοικοῦντες τὴν οἰκουμένην.

⁹ὅτι αὐτὸς εἶπεν, καὶ ἐγενήθησαν· αὐτὸς ἐνετείλατο, καὶ ἐκτίσθησαν.

¹⁰Κύριος διασκεδάζει βουλὰς ἐθνῶν, ἀθετεῖ δὲ λογισμοὺς λαῶν, καὶ ἀθετεῖ βουλὰς ἀρχόντων·

¹¹ἡ δὲ βουλὴ τοῦ κυρίου εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα μένει, λογισμοὶ τῆς καρδίας αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ γενεῶν εἰς γενεάς.

¹²μακάριον τὸ ἔθνος οὗ ἐστιν Κύριος ὁ θεὸς αὐτοῦ, λαὸς ὃν ἐξελέξατο εἰς κληρονομίαν ἑαυτῷ.

¹³ἐξ οὐρανοῦ ἐπέβλεψεν ὁ κύριος, εἶδεν πάντας τοὺς υἱοὺς τῶν ἀνθρώπων·

¹⁴ἐξ ἑτοίμου κατοικητηρίου αὐτοῦ ἐπέβλεψεν ἐπὶ πάντας τοὺς κατοικοῦντας τὴν γῆν,

¹⁵ὁ πλάσας κατὰ μόνας τὰς καρδίας αὐτῶν, ὁ συνιεὶς πάντα τὰ ἔργα αὐτῶν.

¹⁶οὐ σώζεται βασιλεὺς διὰ πολλὴν δύναμιν, καὶ γίγας οὐ σωθήσεται ἐν πλήθει ἰσχύος αὐτοῦ·

¹⁷ψευδὴς ἵππος εἰς σωτηρίαν, ἐν δὲ πλήθει δυνάμεως αὐτοῦ οὐ σωθήσεται.

¹⁸ἰδοὺ οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ Κυρίου ἐπὶ τοὺς φοβουμένους αὐτόν, τοὺς ἐλπίζοντας ἐπὶ τὸ ἔλεος αὐτοῦ,

¹⁹ῥύσασθαι ἐκ θανάτου τὰς ψυχὰς αὐτῶν, καὶ διαθρέψαι αὐτοὺς ἐν λιμῷ.

²⁰ἡ ψυχὴ ἡμῶν ὑπομένει τῷ κυρίῳ, ὅτι βοηθὸς καὶ ὑπερασπιστὴς ἡμῶν ἐστιν·

²¹ὅτι ἐν αὐτῷ εὐφρανθήσεται ἡ καρδία ἡμῶν, καὶ ἐν τῷ ὀνόματι τῷ ἁγίῳ αὐτοῦ ἠλπίσαμεν.

²²γένοιτο τὸ ἔλεός σου, Κύριε, ἐφ᾽ ἡμᾶς, καθάπερ ἠλπίσαμεν ἐπὶ σέ.
