Salmo 149

¹Aleluia! Cantai ao SENHOR um cântico novo; haja louvor a ele na congregação dos santos.

²Alegre-se Israel em seu Criador; os filhos de Sião se encham de alegria em seu Rei.

³Louvem seu nome com danças; cantai louvores a ele com tamborim e harpa.

⁴Porque o SENHOR se agrada de seu povo; ele ornará os mansos com salvação.

⁵Saltem de prazer seus santos pela glória; fiquem contentes sobre suas camas.

⁶Exaltações a Deus estarão em suas gargantas; e espada afiada estará em sua mão,

⁷Para se vingarem das nações, e repreenderem aos povos.

⁸Para prenderem a seus reis com correntes, e seus nobres com grilhões de ferro;

⁹Para executarem sobre eles a sentença escrita; esta será a glória de todos os seus santos. Aleluia!

¹Praise ye the Lord. Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints.

²Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.

³Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.

⁴For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.

⁵Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.

⁶Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand;

⁷To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;

⁸To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;

⁹To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the Lord.

¹Alleluja. Cantate Domino canticum novum; laus ejus in ecclesia sanctorum.

²Lætetur Israël in eo qui fecit eum, et filii Sion exsultent in rege suo.

³Laudent nomen ejus in choro; in tympano et psalterio psallant ei.

⁴Quia beneplacitum est Domino in populo suo, et exaltabit mansuetos in salutem.

⁵Exsultabunt sancti in gloria; lætabuntur in cubilibus suis.

⁶Exaltationes Dei in gutture eorum, et gladii ancipites in manibus eorum:

⁷ad faciendam vindictam in nationibus, increpationes in populis;

⁸ad alligandos reges eorum in compedibus, et nobiles eorum in manicis ferreis;

⁹ut faciant in eis judicium conscriptum: gloria hæc est omnibus sanctis ejus. Alleluja.

¹Ἁλληλουιά. ᾌσατε τῷ κυρίῳ ᾆσμα καινόν, ἡ αἴνεσις αὐτοῦ ἐν ἐκκλησίᾳ ὁσίων.

²εὐφρανθήτω Ἰσραὴλ ἐπὶ τῷ ποιήσαντι αὐτόν, καὶ υἱοὶ Σειὼν ἀγαλλιάσθωσαν ἐπὶ τῷ βασιλεῖ αὐτῶν·

³αἰνεσάτωσαν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ ἐν χορῷ, ἐν τυμπάνῳ καὶ ψαλτηρίῳ ψαλάτωσαν αὐτῷ.

⁴ὅτι εὐδοκεῖ Κύριος ἐν λαῷ αὐτοῦ, καὶ ὑψώσει πρᾳεῖς ἐν σωτηρίᾳ.

⁵καυχήσονται ὅσιοι ἐν δόξῃ, καὶ ἀγαλλιάσονται ἐπὶ τῶν κοιτῶν αὐτῶν.

⁶αἱ ὑψώσεις τοῦ θεοῦ ἐν λάρυγγι αὐτῶν, καὶ ῥομφαῖαι δίστομοι ἐν ταῖς χερσὶν αὐτῶν,

⁷τοῦ ποιῆσαι ἐκδίκησιν ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν, ἐλεγμοὺς ἐν τοῖς λαοῖς,

⁸τοῦ δῆσαι τοὺς βασιλεῖς αὐτῶν ἐν πέδαις καὶ τοὺς ἐνδόξους αὐτῶν ἐν χειροπέδαις σιδηραῖς,

⁹τοῦ ποιῆσαι ἐν αὐτοῖς κρίμα ἔνγραπτον· δόξα αὕτη ἐστὶν πᾶσι τοῖς ὁσίοις αὐτοῦ.
