Salmo 137

¹Junto aos rios da Babilônia nos sentamos e choramos, enquanto nos lembramos de Sião.

²Sobre os salgueiros que há no meio dela penduramos nossas harpas.

³Porque ali os que tinham nos capturado nos pediam letras de canções, e os que nos destruíram, que os alegrássemos, dizendo: Cantai para nós algumas das canções de Sião.

⁴Como cantaríamos canções do SENHOR em terra estrangeira?

⁵Se eu me esquecer de ti, ó Jerusalém, que minha mão direita se esqueça de sua habilidade.

⁶Que minha língua grude no céu da boca se eu não me lembrar de ti, se eu não pôr Jerusalém acima de todas as minhas alegrias.

⁷Lembra-te, SENHOR, dos filhos de Edom no dia de Jerusalém, que diziam: Arruinai -a,arruinai -a,até ao seus fundamentos!

⁸Ah filha de Babilônia, que serás destruída! Bem-aventurado a quem te retribuir o que fizeste conosco.

⁹Bem-aventurado aquele que tomar dos teus filhos, e lançá-los contra as pedras.

¹By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion.

²We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof.

³For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion.

⁴How shall we sing the Lord’s song in a strange land?

⁵If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning.

⁶If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy.

⁷Remember, O Lord, the children of Edom in the day of Jerusalem; who said, Rase it, rase it, even to the foundation thereof.

⁸O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; happy shall he be, that rewardeth thee as thou hast served us.

⁹Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.

¹Psalmus David, Jeremiæ. Super flumina Babylonis illic sedimus et flevimus, cum recordaremur Sion.

²In salicibus in medio ejus suspendimus organa nostra:

³quia illic interrogaverunt nos, qui captivos duxerunt nos, verba cantionum; et qui abduxerunt nos: Hymnum cantate nobis de canticis Sion.

⁴Quomodo cantabimus canticum Domini in terra aliena?

⁵Si oblitus fuero tui, Jerusalem, oblivioni detur dextera mea.

⁶Adhæreat lingua mea faucibus meis, si non meminero tui; si non proposuero Jerusalem in principio lætitiæ meæ.

⁷Memor esto, Domine, filiorum Edom, in die Jerusalem: qui dicunt: Exinanite, exinanite usque ad fundamentum in ea.

⁸Filia Babylonis misera! beatus qui retribuet tibi retributionem tuam quam retribuisti nobis.

⁹Beatus qui tenebit, et allidet parvulos tuos ad petram.

¹Τῷ Δαυείδ Ἐπὶ τῶν ποταμῶν Βαβυλῶνος ἐκεῖ ἐκαθίσαμεν, καὶ ἐκλαύσαμεν ἐν τῷ μνησθῆναι ἡμᾶς τῆς Σιών·

²ἐπὶ ταῖς ἰτέαις ἐν μέσῳ αὐτῆς ἐκρεμάσαμεν τὰ ὄργανα ἡμῶν.

³ὅτι ἐκεῖ ἠρώτησαν ἡμᾶς οἱ αἰχμαλωτεύσαντες ἡμᾶς λόγους ᾠδῶν, καὶ οἱ ἀπαγαγόντες ἡμᾶς Ὑμνήσατε ἡμῖν ἐκ τῶν ᾠδῶν Σιών.

⁴πῶς ᾄσωμεν τὴν ᾠδὴν Κυρίου ἐπὶ γῆς ἀλλοτρίας;

⁵ἐὰν ἐπιλάθωμαί σου, Ἰερουσαλήμ, ἐπιλησθείη ἡ δεξιά μου·

⁶κολληθείη ἡ γλῶσσά μου τῷ λάρυγγί μου, ἐὰν μή σου μνησθῶ, ἐὰν μὴ προανατάξωμαι τὴν Ἰερουσαλὴμ ἐν ἀρχῇ τῆς εὐφροσύνης μου.

⁷μνήσθητι, Κύριε, τῶν υἱῶν Ἐδὼμ τὴν ἡμέραν Ἰερουσαλήμ, τῶν λεγόντων Ἐκκενοῦτε, ἐκκενοῦτε, ἕως ὁ θεμέλιος ἐν αὐτῇ.

⁸θυγάτηρ Βαβυλῶνος ἡ ταλαίπωρος, μακάριος ὃς ἀνταποδώσει σοι τὸ ἀνταπόδομά σου ὃ ἀνταπέδωκας ἡμῖν·

⁹μακάριος ὃς κρατήσει καὶ ἐδαφιεῖ τὰ νήπιά σου πρὸς τὴν πέτραν.
