Salmo 129

¹Cântico dos degraus: Diga Israel: Desde minha juventude muitas vezes me afligiram.

²Desde minha juventude, muitas vezes me afligiram, porém não prevaleceram contra mim.

³Lavradores lavraram sobre minhas costas, fizeram compridos os seus sulcos.

⁴O SENHOR é justo; ele cortou as cordas dos perversos.

⁵Sejam envergonhados, e voltem para trás todos os que odeiam a Sião.

⁶Sejam como a erva dos telhados, que se seca antes que cresça.

⁷Com que o ceifeiro não enche sua mão, nem o braço daquele que amarra os molhos.

⁸Nem também os que passam, dizem: A bênção do SENHOR seja sobre vós; nós vos bendizemos no nome do SENHOR.

¹A Song of degrees. Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth, may Israel now say:

²Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth: yet they have not prevailed against me.

³The plowers plowed upon my back: they made long their furrows.

⁴The Lord is righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked.

⁵Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.

⁶Let them be as the grass upon the housetops, which withereth afore it groweth up:

⁷Wherewith the mower filleth not his hand; nor he that bindeth sheaves his bosom.

⁸Neither do they which go by say, The blessing of the Lord be upon you: we bless you in the name of the Lord.

¹Canticum graduum. Sæpe expugnaverunt me a juventute mea, dicat nunc Israël;

²sæpe expugnaverunt me a juventute mea: etenim non potuerunt mihi.

³Supra dorsum meum fabricaverunt peccatores; prolongaverunt iniquitatem suam.

⁴Dominus justus concidit cervices peccatorum.

⁵Confundantur, et convertantur retrorsum omnes qui oderunt Sion.

⁶Fiant sicut fœnum tectorum, quod priusquam evellatur exaruit:

⁷de quo non implevit manum suam qui metit, et sinum suum qui manipulos colligit.

⁸Et non dixerunt qui præteribant: Benedictio Domini super vos. Benediximus vobis in nomine Domini.

¹ᾨδὴ τῶν ἀναβαθμῶν. Πλεονάκις ἐπολέμησάν με ἐκ νεότητός μου, εἰπάτω δὴ Ἰσραήλ·

²πλεονάκις ἐπολέμησάν με ἐκ νεότητός μου, καὶ γὰρ οὐκ ἠδυνήθησάν μοι.

³ἐπὶ τοῦ νώτου μου ἐτέκταινον οἱ ἁμαρτωλοί, ἐμάκρυναν τὴν ἀνομίαν αὐτῶν·

⁴Κύριος δίκαιος συνέκοψεν αὐχένα ἁμαρτωλῶν.

⁵αἰσχυνθήτωσαν καὶ ἀποστραφήτωσαν εἰς τὰ ὀπίσω πάντες οἱ μισοῦντες Σιών·

⁶γενηθήτωσαν ὡς χόρτος δωμάτων, ὃς πρὸ τοῦ ἐκσπασθῆναι ἐξηράνθη·

⁷οὗ οὐκ ἐπλήρωσεν τὴν χεῖρα αὐτοῦ ὁ θερίζων, καὶ τὸν κόλπον αὐτοῦ ὁ τὰ δράγματα συλλέγων·

⁸καὶ οὐκ εἶπαν οἱ παράγοντες Εὐλογία Κυρίου ἐφ᾽ ἡμᾶς, εὐλογήσομεν ὑμᾶς ἐν ὀνόματι Κυρίου.
