Salmo 123

¹Cântico dos degraus: Levanto meus olhos a ti, que moras nos céus.

²Eis que, assim como os olhos dos servos olham para a mão de seus senhores, e os olhos da serva para a mão de sua senhora, assim também nossos olhos olharão para o SENHOR nosso Deus, até que ele tenha piedade de nós.

³Tem piedade de nós, SENHOR! Tem piedade de nós; pois temos sido humilhados em excesso.

⁴Nossa alma está cheia da zombaria dos insolentes, e da humilhação dos arrogantes.

¹A Song of degrees. Unto thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens.

²Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the Lord our God, until that he have mercy upon us.

³Have mercy upon us, O Lord, have mercy upon us: for we are exceedingly filled with contempt.

⁴Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorning of those that are at ease, and with the contempt of the proud.

¹Canticum graduum. Ad te levavi oculos meos, qui habitas in cælis.

²Ecce sicut oculi servorum in manibus dominorum suorum; sicut oculi ancillæ in manibus dominæ suæ: ita oculi nostri ad Dominum Deum nostrum, donec misereatur nostri.

³Miserere nostri, Domine, miserere nostri, quia multum repleti sumus despectione;

⁴quia multum repleta est anima nostra opprobrium abundantibus, et despectio superbis.

¹ᾨδὴ τῶν ἀναβαθμῶν. Πρὸς σὲ ἦρα τοὺς ὀφθαλμούς μου, τὸν κατοικοῦντα ἐν τῷ οὐρανῷ.

²ἰδοὺ ὡς ὀφθαλμοὶ δούλων εἰς χεῖρας τῶν κυρίων αὐτῶν, ὡς ὀφθαλμοὶ παιδίσκης εἰς χεῖρας τῆς κυρίας αὐτῆς, οὕτως οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ ἡμῶν πρὸς Κύριον τὸν θεὸν ἡμῶν, ἕως οὗ οἰκτειρῆσαι ἡμᾶς.

³ἐλέησον ἡμᾶς, Κύριε, ἐλέησον ἡμᾶς, ὅτι ἐπὶ πολὺ ἐπληθύνθημεν ἐξουδενώσεως·

⁴ἐπὶ πλεῖον ἐπληθύνθη ἡ ψυχὴ ἡμῶν· τὸ ὄνειδος τοῖς εὐθηνοῦσιν καὶ ἡ ἐξουδένωσις τοῖς ὑπερηφάνοις.
