Salmo 58

¹Salmo “Mictão” de Davi, para o regente, conforme “Altachete”: Congregação, por acaso falais verdadeiramente o que é justo? Vós, Filhos dos homens, julgais corretamente?

²Na verdade vós praticais perversidades em vosso coração; sobre a terra pesais a violência de vossas mãos.

³Os perversos se desviam desde o ventre da mãe; afastam-se desde o ventre os mentirosos.

⁴O veneno deles é semelhante ao veneno de serpente; são como a cobra surda, que tapa seus ouvidos,

⁵Para não ouvirem a voz dos encantadores, do encantador sábio em encantamentos.

⁶Deus, quebra os dentes deles em suas bocas; arranca os queixos dos filhos dos leões, SENHOR.

⁷Que eles escorram como águas, que vão embora; quando ele armar sua flecha, sejam eles cortados em pedaços.

⁸Como a lesma, que se desmancha, que assim saiam embora; como o aborto de mulher, assim também nunca vejam o sol.

⁹Antes que vossas panelas sintam os espinhos, tanto vivos, como aquecidos, ele os arrebatará furiosamente.

¹⁰O justo se alegrará ao ver a vingança; e lavará seus pés no sangue do perverso.

¹¹Então o homem dirá: Certamente há recompensa para o justo; certamente há Deus, que julga na terra.

¹To the chief Musician, Al–taschith, Michtam of David. Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?

²Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth.

³The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.

⁴Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear;

⁵Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely.

⁶Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O Lord.

⁷Let them melt away as waters which run continually: when he bendeth his bow to shoot his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces.

⁸As a snail which melteth, let every one of them pass away: like the untimely birth of a woman, that they may not see the sun.

⁹Before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in his wrath.

¹⁰The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.

¹¹So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth.

²Si vere utique justitiam loquimini, recta judicate, filii hominum.

³Etenim in corde iniquitates operamini; in terra injustitias manus vestræ concinnant.

⁴Alienati sunt peccatores a vulva; erraverunt ab utero: locuti sunt falsa.

⁵Furor illis secundum similitudinem serpentis, sicut aspidis surdæ et obturantis aures suas,

⁶quæ non exaudiet vocem incantantium, et venefici incantantis sapienter.

⁷Deus conteret dentes eorum in ore ipsorum; molas leonum confringet Dominus.

⁸Ad nihilum devenient tamquam aqua decurrens; intendit arcum suum donec infirmentur.

⁹Sicut cera quæ fluit auferentur; supercecidit ignis, et non viderunt solem.

¹⁰Priusquam intelligerent spinæ vestræ rhamnum, sicut viventes sic in ira absorbet eos.

¹¹Lætabitur justus cum viderit vindictam; manus suas lavabit in sanguine peccatoris.

¹²Et dicet homo: Si utique est fructus justo, utique est Deus judicans eos in terra.

¹Εἰς τὸ τέλος· μὴ διαφθείρῃς· τῷ Δαυεὶδ εἰς στηλογραφίαν.

²Εἰ ἀληθῶς ἄρα δικαιοσύνην λαλεῖτε; εὐθεῖα κρίνετε, οἱ υἱοὶ τῶν ἀνθρώπων;

³καὶ γὰρ ἐν καρδίᾳ ἀνομίας ἐργάζεσθε ἐν τῇ γῇ, ἀδικίαν αἱ χεῖρες ὑμῶν συνπλέκουσιν.

⁴ἀπηλλοτριώθησαν οἱ ἁμαρτωλοὶ ἀπὸ μήτρας, ἐπλανήθησαν ἀπὸ γαστρός, ἐλάλησαν ψεύδη.

⁵θυμὸς αὐτοῖς κατὰ τὴν ὁμοίωσιν τοῦ ὄφεως, ὡσεὶ ἀσπίδος κωφῆς καὶ βυούσης τὰ ὦτα αὐτῆς,

⁶ἥτις οὐκ εἰσακούσεται φωνὴν ἐπᾳδόντων φαρμάκου τε φαρμακευομένου παρὰ σοφοῦ.

⁷ὁ θεὸς συνέτριψεν τοὺς ὀδόντας αὐτῶν ἐν τῷ στόματι αὐτῶν, τὰς μύλας τῶν λεόντων συνέθλασεν Κύριος.

⁸ἐξουδενωθήσονται ὡς ὕδωρ διαπορευόμενον, ἐντενεῖ τὸ τόξον αὐτοῦ ἕως οὗ ἀσθενήσουσιν.

⁹ὡσεὶ κηρὸς ὁ τακεὶς ἀνταναιρεθήσονται· ἐπέπεσε πῦρ, καὶ οὐκ εἶδον τὸν ἥλιον.

¹⁰πρὸ τοῦ συνεῖναι τὰς ἀκάνθας ὑμῶν τὴν ῥάμνον, ὡσεὶ ζῶντας, ὡσεὶ ἐν ὀργῇ καταπίεται ὑμᾶς.

¹¹εὐφρανθήσεται δίκαιος ὅταν ἴδῃ ἐκδίκησιν ἀσεβῶν. τὰς χεῖρας αὐτοῦ νίψεται ἐν τῷ αἵματι τοῦ ἁμαρτωλοῦ.

¹²καὶ ἐρεῖ ἄνθρωπος Εἰ ἄρα ἐστὶν καρπὸς τῷ δικαίῳ; ἄρα ἐστὶν ὁ θεὸς κρίνων αὐτοὺς ἐν τῇ γῇ.
