Salmo 120

¹Cântico dos degraus: Em minha angústia clamei ao SENHOR, e ele me respondeu.

²Ó SENHOR, livra minha alma dos lábios mentirosos, da língua enganadora.

³O que ele te dará, e o que ele fará contigo, ó língua enganadora?

⁴Flechas afiadas de um guerreiro, com brasas de zimbro.

⁵Ai de mim, que peregrino em Meseque, e habito nas tendas de Quedar!

⁶Minha alma morou tempo demais com os que odeiam a paz.

⁷Eu sou da paz; mas quando falo, eles entram em guerra.

¹A Song of degrees. In my distress I cried unto the Lord, and he heard me.

²Deliver my soul, O Lord, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.

³What shall be given unto thee? or what shall be done unto thee, thou false tongue?

⁴Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper.

⁵Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar!

⁶My soul hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace.

⁷I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war.

¹Canticum graduum. Ad Dominum cum tribularer clamavi, et exaudivit me.

²Domine, libera animam meam a labiis iniquis et a lingua dolosa.

³Quid detur tibi, aut quid apponatur tibi ad linguam dolosam?

⁴Sagittæ potentis acutæ, cum carbonibus desolatoriis.

⁵Heu mihi, quia incolatus meus prolongatus est! habitavi cum habitantibus Cedar;

⁶multum incola fuit anima mea.

⁷Cum his qui oderunt pacem eram pacificus; cum loquebar illis, impugnabant me gratis.

¹ᾨδὴ τῶν ἀναβαθμῶν. Πρὸς Κύριον ἐν τῷ θλίβεσθαί με ἐκέκραξα, καὶ εἰσήκουσέν μου.

²Κύριε, ῥῦσαι τὴν ψυχήν μου ἀπὸ χειλέων ἀδίκων καὶ ἀπὸ γλώσσης δολίας.

³τί δοθείη σοι καὶ τί προστεθείη σοι πρὸς γλῶσσαν δολίαν;

⁴τὰ βέλη τοῦ δυνατοῦ ἠκονημένα σὺν τοῖς ἄνθραξιν τοῖς ἐρημικοῖς.

⁵οἴμοι ὅτι ἡ παροικία μου ἐμακρύνθη, κατεσκήνωσα μετὰ τῶν σκηνωμάτων Κηδάρ.

⁶πολλὰ παρῴκησεν ἡ ψυχή μου μετὰ τῶν μισούντων τὴν εἰρήνην.

⁷ἤμην εἰρηνικός· ὅταν ἐλάλουν αὐτοῖς, ἐπολέμουν με δωρεάν.
